About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer with a civil engineering degree to work in our Traffic Engineering Practice. Based in our Milton office, you will lead and assist with assignments both locally and throughout Australia.

As a senior member you will be involved in all aspects of our consultancy business. Your prime responsibilities will include preparation of technical reports and technical memorandums, providing input in design discussions to further project solutions, presentations to clients, drafting fee proposals, project management including cost control, and assisting with client relationship management.

About You

You will be required to demonstrate your technical experience and leadership capability in traffic engineering across traffic impact assessments, road safety initiatives, active transport and traffic management schemes.

You will need to have the right to work in Australia.

We value our current team and it is really important to us that we hire the right person to join us. Accordingly, you will need to demonstrate how you satisfy the following selection criteria:

  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2-8 years’ experience in Traffic Engineering;
  • A working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Austroads Guidelines and Codes of Practice and principles for Roads and Traffic Engineering. Experience in road safety / traffic management would be advantageous;
  • Demonstrated experience on transport projects, with knowledge and experience of development application requirements and processes;
  • Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills and the ability to present concepts to a diverse range of clients;
  • Strong experience using SIDRA and MS products (Excel, Word, PPT). Experience with strategic and / or simulation modelling software will be advantageous;
  • Intent to work towards, accreditation. a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) – advantageous if already attained;
